I chased it, I actually thought this will break the 24 round number, but it just wasn't going anywhere, sold for a $44 loss, :(

Yes, need a set-up even if there is a round number tap a couple times right?

Yes because, what if a stock is up 7 green candles in a row and is about to break through a round number on the 8th green candle on a triple tap... will you still buy knowing its that much extended or would you wait for an orderly pullback and then make your buying decision?

You are right, I would wait for an orderly pullback first. Otherwise If I bought when its extended, I would be trapped on the pullback.
